Music
Music really takes up a lot of my time. Since I got into it in Jan 2009 I've taken up piano which is among the hardest, yet most satisfying, things I've ever done and spent a lot of time learning about sequencing, synthesis, MIDI, music theory, and a bunch of other stuff. I have over 100 published tracks and am a member of an electronic music label. More info on my music page.
Psychology
In 2004/5 I took a part-time postgraduate certificate in psychology which turned out to be a fantastically interesting course and a great investment of time. Unfortunately circumstances prevented me continuing on to the diploma course. Given the opportunity I would like to study psychology and music. In the meantime I follow the BPS digest and read as many books and articles as I can.
Gaming
I like poker although I don't play often enough to keep my skill level up (and I've never enjoyed online poker), and bridge (when I can remember how to bid). I'm a sucker for board games (Le Havre is a favourite), and computer games especially FPS, strategy, and RPG.
Karate
Until I injured my knee I was training twice a week in traditional Shotokan karate with the Thamas Valley Shotokan Karate club (part of the SSKA) under Sensei Richard Hughes (3rd Dan). I had reached 3rd Kyu (brown belt) and I hope to take it up again in the future.
